PIGMENT DISPERSION LIQUID FOR INK-JET RECORDING AND INK-JET RECORDING INK PRODUCED BY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersion liquid for ink-jet recording having high image density and excellent ejection stability and liquid stability and provide a technique relating to a pigment-based ink-jet recording ink produced by using the dispersion liquid.

SOLUTION: The pigment dispersion liquid for ink-jet recording at least contains carbon black, a dispersing agent and water. The carbon black has an average particle diameter (D50) of 50-120 nm and a PVC blackness of 10-30. The dispersing agent preferably contains at least one kind of compound expressed by general formula (1) (n is an integer of 20-300; R is a 1-20C alkyl, allyl or an aralkyl; and m is an integer of 0-7).
