摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical sensor of high sensitivity capable of obtaining an output of electric signal with a large amplitude. <P>SOLUTION: When light from the light source 14 is incident on a resonator constituted of the membranes 11a, and 11b, the reflection in the resonator is repeated and an approximate half of incident light is made to exit from the resonator. A half of its amount exits to the photodetector PD1 side, the remaining half exits to the light source 14 side. When a signal to be measured is applied on the measurement signal input port PIN, the electric field is incorporated with the EO crystal 11, and the phase difference is varied, e.g. the amount of the exit light to the photodetector PD1 side is varied. At this point, the resonator is constituted of the membranes, and the reflectance of the resonator is set at the maximum variation rate of the resonator, therefore the reflectance varies drastically, and so the variation amount of the exit light to the photodetector PD1 side is dramatically larger than the case without constitution of the resonator.
