<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise invasion from a portable device itself to an AM antenna. <P>SOLUTION: The portable device comprises a body 1, a control unit 16 provided at the body 1, a driver 33 connected to the control unit 16 via a connection line 34, and a display unit 4 connected to the driver 33. An AM receiver 20 and an AM antenna 8 connected to the AM receiver 20 are provided in the body 1, and a shield plate 40 is provided between the AM antenna 8 and the connection line 34.
