PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductive cable having a sufficient yield strength against the tension at the time of installation such as drawing the cable into a pipeline. SOLUTION: The superconductive cable has superconductive layers (conductor layer 10, shield layer 40) and a heat insulation pipe 120 for heat-insulating these superconductive layers and a tension member 130 is provided at the outside of the heat insulation pipe 120. Since the tension member 130 is installed at the outside of the heat insulation pipe 120, the cable can be pulled with a tension applied on this tension member 30 at the time of drawing installation into the pipeline, and thereby it is evaded that tension is acted on the superconductive layers arranged inside the heat insulation pipe and the superconductive layers are damaged.
