PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of an abnormal image by scraping and scattering residual toner on a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes, in a case 10, a toner scattering means 7 having a plurality of scattering members each constituted of an elastic member. The scattering members are arranged so that the longitudinal edge parts of the belt-like boards thereof coming in contact with the photoreceptor surface have optional angles with respect to the axial direction of the photoreceptor, and also, adjacently arranged at an interval. Even when the residual toner after transfer electrically considerably strongly sticks to the photoreceptor, the toner is scraped from the photoreceptor 1 by the edge part of the scattering member once, and the residual toner after transfer is shifted on the surface of the photoreceptor 1 along the ridge line of the edge part of the scattering member in a direction where an electrifying means is arranged. The residual toner after transfer transported to the developing roller of a developing cleaning means with the rotation of the photoreceptor 1 is not strongly attracted to the photoreceptor 1, then, the toner is easily recovered by the developing roller 3.
