PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preclude the spin and roll-over using one angular velocity sensor without distinguishing the occurrence of these phenomena. SOLUTION: A control device for stabilization of a vehicle is composed of a vehicle speed sensor 14, an angular velocity sensor 10 to sense the angular velocity round the axis generated by inclining a vertically upward directed axis at a certain angle to ahead of the vehicle, a transverse acceleration sensor 12, a rolling angular velocity predicting means 16 to predict the rolling angular velocity of the body, a yawing angular velocity converting means 18 to convert the angular velocity sensed by the angular velocity sensor into the equivalent value of yawing angular velocity, and a controlling means 20 to perform the stabilizing control for stabilizing the body.
