PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a portable terminal which can surely maintain a closed state, easily release a locking state, and prevent a case from unexpected opening when putting in or taking out of a pocket or a bag. SOLUTION: The portable terminal is provided with a coupling device 3 for bendably coupling one ends 1a and 1b of two cases 1 and 2 with a predetermined distance and having a restoration force for turning the two cases 1 and 2 from a bent state to an opening state. A locking means 41 for holding the two cases 1 and 2 in a bent state against the restoration force of the coupling device 3 is provided on the other ends 1b and 2b on opposite sides of the one ends 1a and 2a of the two cases 1 and 2. The locking means 41 are each formed of a first locking piece 43 extending from the one case 1, and a second locking piece 45 extending from the other case 2 and overlapping its one part on the first locking piece 43.
