PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a motion picture under display when recording is commanded by a user easily as a still image. SOLUTION: An image sensor 11 images an object and supplies image data of the object to a buffer memory 21 through an A/D converting section 12 and a selector 20. When a command for recording a still image is received at an operation input section 25, a control section 26 selects a buffer memory 21 for storing image data corresponding to the motion picture displayed at a display section 16 among three buffer memories 21, and supplies an output select signal indicative of that buffer memory 21 to a selector 22. The selector 22 supplies image data stored in the buffer memory 21 indicated by the output select signal to a record control section 18 through DSPs 23 and 24 and the image data is recorded in a recording section 19.
