摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical unit capable of accurately maintaining the shape of the aperture part of a flare diaphragm assembled later on the incident side of an optical system. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus (optical unit) 10 is equipped with a 1st prism 11 (optical system), a 2nd prism 12 (optical system), a case 30, an incident window 32 and a square frame 40. The 1st prism 11 and the 2nd prism 12 have free curved surfaces having mirror image relation to a plane going along an optical axis and rotationally asymmetric. The case 30 surrounds the optical system and shields it from light. The incident window 32 opens to the case 30, and luminous fluxλi from an object passes through the incident window 32 toward the optical system. The square frame 40 is attached to the incident window 32 and provided with the flare diaphragm 41 regulating the cross-sectional shape of the luminous fluxλi to be square. The square frame 40 is fixed on the incident window 32 by angle parts 43a, 43b, 43c and 43d whose respective sides 42a, 42b, 42c and 42d constituting the inner periphery of the flare diaphragm 41 are mated to each other.
