PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of retaining satisfactory charging properties even in long-term repetitive use while maintaining coatability. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor obtained by sequentially stacking a subbing layer, a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer on a conductive support, the charge generating layer contains at least an azo pigment as a charge generating material and further contains a butyral resin containing≤40 mol% of hydroxyl group, and the charge transport layer is formed by coating with a coating liquid containing at least a binder resin, a charge transport material and two or more hydroquinone-based antioxidants in a cyclic ether solvent.
