PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the safety of passengers by detecting the presence of the passengers on the landing of an elevator when the door of the elevator is closed even if the passengers do not touch the safety shoe of the door before opening and closing the door. SOLUTION: Thermosensitive sensors are installed at the landings of the elevator on floors. When signals from an elevator landing door switch on a story and a car story indication lamp on the story are detected and matched each other, the thermosensitive sensor is operated to open the door of the elevator. Thus, the opening and closing of the door are performed by detecting the presence or absence of the passengers at the landing of the elevator by the thermosensitive sensors.
