PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue the printing without stopping the entire system even when a sensor fails. SOLUTION: A printer processor consisting of a printer unit to record a latent image on a photographic paper and a processor unit to perform the development or the like, comprises a first sensor to detect that the photographic paper is conveyed to an exposure unit in the printer unit, and a second sensor to detect the photographic paper conveyed immediately in front of an exposure head. The second sensor is provided on the downstream side of the first sensor in the conveying direction of the photographic paper. When the second sensor fails, the position of the photographic paper is specified by the conveying distance after the photographic paper is detected by the first sensor. When the second sensor fails, the exposure range is expanded in comparison with that in a normal state of the second sensor to prevent deviation of the exposure position by the conveying error and occurrence of a white edge in a recording surface of the photographic paper.
