PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which allows a date, a file name or the like to be attached to a photographed image in a layout as expected, when the image with the date or the like attached thereto is printed. SOLUTION: The printer 1 is provided with: an image displaying means 2; an inputting means 4; a position changing means for changing an attachment place for character information 3d to be attached to an image 3; and a rotational movement means for changing a rotation angle or the like. The printer 1 allows an attachment position and rotational angle of the character information 3d such as a date to be changed in the fourth step S4 and the fifth step S5, so that the character information 3d such as the date is attached to image data 3p for the image 3 to be printed is attached in a layout as expected.
