PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and at a low cost obtain a decorative layer with a surface pattern of a high quality feeling by controlling a foaming condition of the decorative layer made of a thermoplastic elastomer in a molded article of a continuous length. SOLUTION: In the molded article of a continuous length which is continuous in the longitudinal direction formed by extrusion molding, the molded article 50 of a continuous length has a main body 51 of the molded article of a continuous length and the decorative layer 57 integrally provided on the surface of the main body 51 of the molded article of a continuous length. The decorative layer 57 is formed in a lamellar state by extrusion molding using the thermoplastic elastomer with a melt flow rate (MFR) of 3-15 (g/10 min, 230°C, 98 N) as a base material. The decorative layer has a closed-cell foam with a mean cell diameter of 10-20μm and has an appearance of a back skin tone or a satin-like tone. Alternatively, the decorative layer has a closed-cell foam with a mean cell diameter of 30-40μm and has an appearance of a textile tone. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
