<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic MPEG signal synchronization system capable of adding a synchronizing signal to an image signal of a picked-up image to synchronize a right-eye image and a left-eye image with each other. <P>SOLUTION: The stereoscopic MPEG signal synchronization system of the present invention can synchronize the images for the right and left eyes with each other by obtaining encoding quantities of the images for the right and left eyes and acquiring changes of the encoding quantities. Right and left image signals are generated by imaging one subject at the same time and the encoding quantities of both the images are nearly equal to each other. For the purpose, the timing when the encoding quantities of the right and left images, changes of the encoding quantities calculated from the encoding quantities, etc., are nearly equal is found and the time difference between both the images is calculated to enable the synchronization. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
