<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptic apparatus in which an adhesive is prevented from leaking out of a region where a substrate and cover glass face each other when the substrate and the cover glass are stuck together by using the adhesive, and to provide electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The electrooptic apparatus is constituted by holding a liquid crystal 50 between a TFT substrate 11 and a counter substrate 12. The apparatus is characterized in that the cover glasses 31 and 32 are stuck by the adhesive 30 to the at least one substrate of the TFT substrate 11 and the counter substrate 12 and that grooves 31h and 32h are formed in at least either within the region of at least one backs 11r and 12r of the TFT substrate 11 and the counter substrate 12, the region where the backs face the cover glasses 31 and 32, and within the region of the adhesive surfaces 31s and 32s of the cover glasses 31 and 32, the region where the adhesive surfaces face the at least one substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
