<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a path setup method using a failure recovery method in which a failure location does not need to be identified, in which current-to-reserve path switching is performed only on the current path terminal, and in which optional setup of failure recovery granularity is allowed. <P>SOLUTION: When 1+1 protection is made between B and C of a path 32 with an origin Node A and an end-point Node D, at first, a current failure recovery path 30 is set up on a route B-M-C, and a reserved failure recovery path 31 is set up on a route B-N-C. Then, a virtual link having those two of the paths as instances is defined and a path 32 is set up on a route A-B-C-D that go through the virtual link. When the path 30 has no failure, a node B sends a path 32 primary signal received from the node A to both the path 30 and the reserved failure recovery path 31, and the node C receives the path 32 primary signal from the path 30. The node C monitors failure of the path 30, and when detecting a failure, it switches a space/time-shared multiplex switch 24 so as to receive the path 32 primary signal from the reserved failure recovery path 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
