<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft seal device, restraining temperature rise of a rotating shaft due to friction between a ground packing and the rotating shaft even in dry operation without a water feeder. <P>SOLUTION: This shaft seal device includes: a casing 20 surrounding the outer peripheral side of a main shaft 10; a disk member 30 fixed to the upper end face of the casing 20; the main shaft 10 formed by fixing the disk member 30 to the upper end face of the casing 20; and a shaft seal part 40 provided in a space surrounded by the casing 20 and the disk member 30. The shaft seal part 40 is held between the top face of the casing side projecting part 20a and the lower end face of the disk member 30. In the shaft seal part 40, the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of each ground packing 42 respectively closely adhere to the inner peripheral surface of a packing case 41 and the outer peripheral surface of a shaft sleeve 10a, and the inner peripheral surface and the outer peripheral surface of an annular member 45 closely adhere to the outer peripheral surface of the casing 20 and the outer peripheral surface of the packing case 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
