PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relate and add various kinds of information of a database of a user to an arbitrary location of an image of a figure such as a map. SOLUTION: This database function improvement support device is provided with: a character information registration means for inputting a file having, as a component, a character information group extracted from an existing database possessed by a user and for registering desired character information in the character information group in an information storage part as a search key of an object designated by the user on the image of the figure displayed on a screen by relating it to a region of the object; an image location search means for searching for the character information group registered in the information storage part using the inputted character information as the search key to find the location of the object on the image of the figure based on the region information of the object registered in response to the retrieved character information; and a display control means for displaying the image of the figure including the location of the object found by the image location search means and for displaying the registered character information by relating it to the object.
