PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress unnecessary power consumption in a transmitting apparatus. SOLUTION: An optimal signal line is selected from a plurality of signal lines (53-56) having different gains provided by respective signal amplifying devices (64-67) to perform gain adjustment on a signal to be transmitted, which is supplied to an input terminal (58), so as to optimize power consumption of each signal amplifying device in accordance with a gain value, and to halt the operation of the signal amplifying device on a signal line which is not selected.
