PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network communication apparatus for outputting or transferring an electronic mail which has an added signature or is encrypted so that a user can visually recognize that fact. SOLUTION: When the communication unit 11 of a receiver side apparatus 2 receives an electronic mail through a network 3, a control unit 12 causes a printing unit 13 to print the contents thereof. If the received electronic mail has a signature, the signature is authenticated and a result of authentication is added to the contents, and the printer unit 13 prints the contents of the electronic mail. In this way, a user can discriminate the contents of an electronic mail with a signature which may not be falsified from a general electronic mail without a signature which may be falsified only by glancing at a printing result.
