<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus which has simple and inexpensive constitution and by which assembling workability can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: The developing apparatus for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an electrophotographic photoreceptor has a developing member, a developer storing section, an agitating member and an elastic sheet which comes into contact with the agitating member and vibrates when the agitating member rotates in order to convey the developer on the elastic member in an inclined direction. At an upstream side of the elastic sheet in a conveyance direction where the developer is agitating-conveyed by the agitating member, the developer storing section together with the 1st development frame having the inclined plane are formed. Further the developing apparatus has a projection section which projects upward from the inclined plane of the 1st development frame till a position in close vicinity of a part of a 2nd development frame located above the 1st development frame.
