<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp a commodity matching the taste of a customer while the customer visiting a shop selects a commodity. <P>SOLUTION: When the customer carrying a membership card 5 passes in front of a sensor 1 installed inside the shop, information about a membership number stored in the membership card 5 is outputted to an ECR 2. The ECR 2 collates the membership number from the sensor 1 to a database stored in a database part 3. According to the collation, information about the type and manufacturer of a commodity frequently purchased in the past half year among commodity data, which are associated with the membership number acquired from the sensor 1, is analyzed and transmitted to a portable communication terminal 4 of a sales clerk. The information inputted to the portable communication terminal 4 is displayed as character information on a monitor.
