<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update a commutation ticket use right added to a general-purpose electronic money card. <P>SOLUTION: When a general-purpose electronic currency IC card reader/writer reads a card identifier, this ticket examining device checks whether or not an effective use period is stored in a commutation ticket use right database in which use right attributes including the classification and price of the commutation use right and use period and card identifier are associated, and permits the use of the commutation ticket use right when the effective use period is stored, and collates the balance of the electronic currency of the IC card with the price pertinent to the card identifier in the other case, and subtracts the price from the balance, and transmits the subtraction event to the settlement center computer of a prepaid type electronic currency settlement mechanism when the balance is not less than the price, and updates the use period pertinent to the card identifier based on the classification pertinent to the card identifier, and permits the use of the commutation ticket use right. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
