PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a foreign matter stuck to a transparent plate arranged at the front face of an imaging element easily and surely. SOLUTION: Driving force of a motor 50 is transmitted through a gear 52 to a screw shaft 42 to rotate the screw shaft 42. Through the rotation of the screw shaft 42, an electrical charging member 46 shifts right and left(in direction of arrow X), namely the electrical charging member 46 scans the front face of a cover glass 24. Each frictional charging member 48 is provided on both end sides of the cover glass 24, and put in contact with the electrical charging member 46 during the scanning of the electrical charging member 46, and thereby the electrical charging member 46 is frictionally charged. When the electrical charging member 46 charged by frictional charge scans the front face of the cover glass 24, the foreign matter, such as dust, stuck to the cover glass 24 is removed through electrostatic adsorption of the electrical charging member 46.
