PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable, in a fake bamboo, deep-felt and clear line patterns to be shown stably. SOLUTION: First, by using a first thermoplastic synthetic resin 6 a base layer 2 is extrusion molded, which has on its surface a plurality of projections 2a extending to the longitudinal direction and concave grooves 2b located between these projections 2a. Then, on the surface of this base layer 2 a second thermoplastic synthetic resin having a color deeper than that of the surface of the base layer 2 is supplied in a molten state and is made to enter the above concave grooves 2b. Thereby, the surface layer 3 is formed which has a shape in which the thickness of the parts at which the concave grooves 2b are filled is thicker than that of the parts which are located on the surface of the projections 2a adjacent to these grooves.
