PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a key unit in which the number of inks to be blended and the number of overprinting are extremely reduced by solving the problems of a conventional gradation printing method, that is, an increase in the number of inks to be blended and a resulting erroneous selection of the printing area, and an increase in the number of overprinting that can result from an attempt to avoid the increase in the number of inks to be blended. SOLUTION: A basic concept for solving the problem is to employ a screen printing method to thereby express gradation by varying the surface densities of aggregates of dots printed in a relatively dark color among key groups, and to express a desired ground color by superposing a relatively bright color which looks like the desired color if superposed on the color of the dots on the aggregate image of the dots and performing printing evenly (solid printing).
