摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for sensing a flow rate, capable of sensing the flow rate more approximate to an actual flow rate, even in the case a rapid reduction occurs in the flow rate. SOLUTION: In the flow rate sensing method, the flow rate is sensed from a pulse signal in which a pulse interval between one pulse and its prior pulse correlates with a flow rate at a timing when the one pulse is transmitted. The method comprises a step (S501) of sensing a first pulse signal, a step (S502) of sensing a second pulse signal following the first pulse signal, and steps (S503, S504) of sensing a tentative pulse signal, when the next signal following the second pulse signal is not sensed in an additional pulse interval obtained by adding a prescribed period to the pulse interval between the first and second pulse signals.
