COATED PAPER FOR OFFSET PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper for offset printing, having low density and high whiteness and excellent in printability, such as high print glossiness. SOLUTION: This coated paper for offset printing has a coated layer containing pigments and an adhesive on base paper, wherein calcium sulfate having an aspect ratio of≤20 is contained as the pigments in an amount of 10 pts.wt. or more based on 100 pts.wt. of the pigments and the base paper contains an amorphous silicate or an organic compound which inhibits pulp from forming interfiber bonds.
