PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive pump system with a storage tank having a sufficient capacity and a motor having a longer life without mounting a flywheel on the rotating shaft of the motor, for eliminating the event of water hammering. SOLUTION: The pump system comprises the storage tank 2 for storing liquid, the pump 4 using an electric motor as a driving source for transferring the liquid stored in the storage tank 2, and a pump control device 9 for controlling the start/stop of the pump 4 depending on the liquid level of the storage tank 2.
