<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to maintain brightness of reflected light from each of four corners at the same level as that of the reflected light from the other places, and uniformalize the brightness of the entire display panel face. <P>SOLUTION: In a backlight device composed of a light source unit on which numerous numbers of light emitting diodes are mounted, a reflecting plate which reflects the light emitted from the light source unit is provided, and the reflecting plate is composed of the bottom face reflecting plate 16a to reflect the light which is emitted from the light source unit from the bottom face direction, side face reflecting plates 16b to 16e to reflect the light which is emitted from the light source unit from the respective longitudinal and lateral side face directions, and the reflecting plates 16f to 16i for corners to cover the respective four corners in which the bottom face reflecting plate 16a and the side face reflecting plates 16b to 16e are joined together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
