PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wear caused by sliding contact between a cage and a guide race ring of a bearing for a rocket turbo pump. SOLUTION: In the bearing for a rocket turbo pump in which an inner ring 1 and an outer ring 2 are formed of martensitic stainless steel and at least a surface layer portion of the cage 4 is formed of PTFE, an inner diameter surface 2a of the outer ring 2 for guiding the cage 4 is processed to have an arithmetical means roughness value Ra of surface roughness not larger than 0.2μm. It is thus possible to largely reduce the wear caused by the sliding contact of the cage 4 with the outer ring 2, as compared with the prior art. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
