PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretchable pile fabric having excellent stretchability performances and excellent water absorptivity, rapid-drying properties and durability in washing with slight skin irritation. SOLUTION: The pile fabric is composed of ground yarns and pile yarns. At least a part of the ground yarns are composed of yarns composed of a crimpable polyester conjugated filament yarn containing a layer consisting essentially of polytrimethylene terephthalate and a polyester ultrafine fiber yarn. A crimped ultrafine fiber yarn prepared by carrying out crimping processing of the polyester ultrafine fiber yarn having≤1.3 dtex single filament fineness is used as the polyester ultrafine fiber yarn.
