PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a placing method of a strip-like member capable of accurately placing another strip-like member at the position in the arbitrary width direction of a placing target regardless of the placing position of one strip-like member. SOLUTION: A first placing conveyor 21 is moved in the width direction of respective side wall members 1 and 2 to be positioned above the predetermined placing position of a transfer tray 3 and, after the first side wall member 1 is placed on the transfer tray 3 from the first placing conveyor 21, a second placing conveyor 22 is moved in the width direction of the respective side wall members 1 and 2 to be positioned above the predetermined placing position of the transfer tray 3. Since the second side wall member 2 is placed on the transfer tray 3 from the second placing conveyor 22, the second side wall member 2 can be placed at an optional position regardless of the placing position of the first side wall member 1.
