PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hammering tool allowing improvement of a service life, regarding the hammering tool having a mode switching device for moving a clutch in an axial direction and separating the engagement of the clutch and a reciprocating bearing, such as a rotary hammer drill. SOLUTION: This hammering tool has the clutch 10 which is rotated and driven by rotation of a motor 1, is movable and is capable of switching ON/OFF transmission of rotation to a hammering transmission mechanism part 11 according to a moving position, and a change lever 14 which can be rotated and operated from the outside and is movable to a position for switching OFF rotation transmission to the hammering transmission mechanism part 11 by pressing the clutch 10.
