<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check image quality in simple and highly-precisely when performing scan sending. <P>SOLUTION: Image data scanned by a multifunctional copying machine are stored in the storage region of a storage device such as a hard disk or the like. Regions containing character images are extracted for each to character size from the image data and the regions are registered in data table for each character size. With respect to the images in the region which have been registered, images with scanned resolution and those with resolution selected by a user are displayed in a highest-quality image displaying region 8001 and in a variable-resolution image displaying region 8002, respectively. The user can change image resolution by a button 8004 to select the desired resolution, and then the image data are converted into those with the selected resolution to be transmitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
