<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To thin and miniaturize a high voltage power supply unit using a piezoelectric transformer. <P>SOLUTION: A structure for mounting the piezoelectric transformer constitutes a surface parallel to the primary electrode face of the piezoelectric transformer in an elongated shape in a direction for connecting an input-side electrode couple and a secondary side electrode of the piezoelectric transformer. The piezoelectric transformer constitutes a high voltage circuit including a rectification circuit receiving an AC signal from the secondary electrode and generating a high DC voltage, and a low voltage control circuit receiving a DC voltage showing an output state of the high voltage circuit and a control signal from the outside, and supplying AC power to the primary electrode couple of the piezoelectric transformer. Thus, a plurality of components are mounted on a surface so that the low voltage control circuit, the piezoelectric transformer and the high voltage circuit are arranged on an almost straight line. A metal pattern for connecting the components and forming the respective circuits is constituted on the surface. The piezoelectric transformer is fixed to the structure at least at a plurality of parts. The respective electrodes of the piezoelectric transformer and the circuits disposed on the structure are connected by lead lines. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
