<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a low-frequency oscillator which can add the effect of extreme changes which are unpredictable, while adding the effect intended by the user to some extent. <P>SOLUTION: An LFO waveform generator 63 determines the waveform for each section of an LFO waveform, classified into a section A and a section B, and then determines a percentage of the waveform in the section A occupied by a parameter duty in one whole waveform period, and further, generates the LFO waveform, obtained by limiting a random variation width of the LFO peak value in the section A and limiting a random variation width of the LFO peak value in the section B. Since the musical sound produced is given effects by modulating the pitch, timbre, and loudness thereof according to this LFO waveform, the effect of an unexpected extreme change can also be given thereto while giving an effect intended to some extent by a user, and more expressive LFO effect can be exhibited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
