PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain favorable acceleration performance by always starting from a low ratio in a vehicle including a continuously variable transmission. SOLUTION: Determination that a throttle grip openingθgp is in the totally closed state in a step S1, makes advance to a step S2 to detect a gear ratio Rm of the continuously variable transmission 23. Determined that the change gear ratio Rm does not return to the low ratio Rlow at the time of starting, makes advance to the step S3. In the step S3, DBW control is started, and the throttle openingθis controlled so that the engine rotational frequency Ne is kept at Nref1 a little exceeding the clutch-in rotational frequency Nin, whereby the gear ratio Rm is gradually decreased. After that, when the gear ratio Rm returns to the low ratio Rlow, DBW control is released in the step S4.
