<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently shorten a medium processing passage to enhance the reliability of the processing passage and to reduce the size of the whole machine in a parallel printing system. <P>SOLUTION: The printing system 10 is provided with a plurality of marking engines 12, 14, a paper feeding device and a medium outlet conveying part; a highway passage 24 for conveying documents at a first speed through the system; and a reverser 92 disposed between the highway passage 24 and at least one marking engine 12. The reverser 92 is constituted to selectively reverse and convey the documents at a second speed (slower than the first speed for image formation) through at least one marking engine 12 and to buffer the difference between the first speed and second speed (to prevent influence caused by the speed difference between the first speed and second speed). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
