<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a commercially available digital television set can not receive a digital broadcast signal since a transmodulation system is a system that makes transmodulation of a digital broadcast signal by a QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation) modulation system and then retransmits the digital broadcast signal to a CATV network. <P>SOLUTION: A transmodulation device 20 is provided with a means for performing transmodulation of a retransmission signal of a digital broadcast retransmitted by a transmodulation system again to return the retransmission signal to the signal of the original modulation system, and is connected communicably to a digital television set 10. The transmodulation device 20 stores in a memory channel information of digital broadcasting that a user desires to view and broadcast information including information about the original modulation system of the digital broadcasting, receives the retransmission signal of a corresponding channel on the basis of channel selection information from the digital television set 10, makes transmodulation of the retransmission signal into the signal of the original modulation system again, and inputs the signal to the digital television set 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
