<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical, effective and highly safe treatment method for treating pulp wastewater and discharging the treated wastewater from a paper mill, using a circular settling pond and an activated sludge treatment equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The pulp wastewater treatment method using the circular settling pond and activated sludge treatment equipment is provided, wherein sludge settled in the circular settling pond is supplied to a sludge mixing tank, and hypo or chlorine dioxide is added to a sludge return line returning a part of the sludge to the settling pond to thereby sterilize harmful microorganism in the pulp wastewater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
