PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress catalyst deterioration by fuel cut and prohibition of fuel cut more than necessary. SOLUTION: An ECU performs a program including a step (S110) of resetting a shifting time F/C permission flag when shifting is executed before an elapsed time since the previous shifting reaches a determination time (YES in S108) and a step (S114) of setting the shifting time F/C permission flag when the elapsed time since the previous shifting reaches the determination time (YES in S112), when a catalyst temperature TC exceeds predetermined temperature TC(0) (YES in S104).
