PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting device for segments and a construction method of a tunnel by which underground structures are connected to each other surely while absorbing a positional deviation of the underground structures. SOLUTION: The connecting device 22 is for connecting the segments 8, 15 of underground structures 9, 11 to each other using a bolt 26 and a nut 27 so that the underground structure 9 which is constructed by assembling the segments 8 may be connected to the other underground structure 11 which is constructed by assembling the segments 15 to be adjacent to the underground structure 9. In the connecting device 22 for the segments 8, 15, a spherical surface receiving seat 23 is formed on each of the segments 8, 15 which are to be connected together. Spherical members 24, 25 are rotatably fitted to the spherical surface receiving seats 23, respectively.
