PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system high in utility which can resume course guidance automatically when the moving body is thought to have lost its way after guidance was over. SOLUTION: The navigation system for route searching and guiding the moving body from a start point to the specified destination on the basis of the previously provided map data comprises: a present position detection part 40 for detecting the present point; a resuming determination part 45 for determination whether the moving body is thought to have lost its way or not because of still running about etc., in spite of ending the route guidance because of the moving body arriving at nearby the destination; a resuming indication part 46 for sending out the resuming indication to the route setup part 42 for resuming the route guidance when the resuming determination part 45 determines that the moving body has lost its way.
