PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of excellently washing dishes by using only a lower basket in the dishwasher provided with upper and lower baskets. SOLUTION: A large basket 91 for instance of a basket 80 made of resin and provided in the upper basket 8A is detached and set to a prescribed position of the lower basket 8B. Then, the dishes are washed by using only the lower basket 8B where the large basket 91 is set. In the case that the volume of the dishes to be washed is small, the dishes are appropriately washed by using only the lower basket 8B and a water saving effect is improved.
