The lighting equipment comprises a lamp (100, 100') and diffuser (110) of transparent material. The diffuser has a surface with parallel, periodic, closely-spaced structures. It is curved out of a plane at right angles to the structures. The structures are ridges and/or grooves. The lamp is tubular and parallel to the periodic structures. The transparent material is glass, plastic or acrylic plastic. The tube is based on neon, LEDs, incandescence or an energy-saving lamp. |
