The brake has a sprocket segment which is coupled to an activation unit, where the segment has a sprocket contour which is engaged with a latch of a rotatably supported catch. A spring (4), which is stressable in the direction of the contour, is reversibly designed in its effective direction. The spring is reversible in its effective direction, during the locking of the brake, by the action of a cam (5).
