FIELD: mechanical engineering; processing of cold-drawn blanks of limited length. SUBSTANCE: ends of blanks are annealed on section of length calculated depending on degree of blank drawing and distance from inlet die to sheet of blank contact with sheave of drawing machine. Then blank is cut off on annealed sections, ends to be welded are cleaned, pickled and degreased. This done, ends are butt-welded. EFFECT: provision of continuous process of blank drawing, possibility of processing of wastes and semifinished goods in electrical engineering and other industries. 4 cl, 2 dwg
