An intermediate chamber (30) is created between stirrer vessel (5) and the ice cream preparation vessel (20). Said chamber is used to receive an icing medium (16). A scraper (23) protrudes into the ice cream preparation vessel (20). Either the scraper (23) and/or the ice preparation vessel (20) can be rotationally driven.
